Being a pilot is a profession that has been around for just over a century, but from the very beginning, right from the first day that man lifted himself off the ground in controlled flight, these courageous people have been associated with bravery, determination and pride in what they do.

Air Astana operates in compliance with the highest international standards and it values able people who are determined to follow their dream. For those with the necessary qualities and motivation, Air Astana offers an opportunity to receive professional training under the Ab-initio initial pilot training programme.

Future pilots undergo training at the highest professional level, studying the theory of flying under the guidance of leading specialists, including those from world-renowned aircraft manufacturing companies. Skills are practiced on hi-tech simulators and then consolidated at the control wheel of an aircraft.

We invite citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan aged 18 to 34, who have an excellent knowledge of physics and maths and are fluent in English, to participate in the programme.

Participants are selected on an ongoing basis in several stages. Applicants who successfully pass all the screening stages will be given the opportunity to study at the world’s best flight schools.
