Description

FlyArystan Finance Department invites for a permanent position of Chief Accountant in a subsidiary company. The position is based in Kazakhstan, Almaty.

The Chief Accountant reports to the Director Finance and is responsible for the accounting and taxation of the subsidiary, the management of finance division, applying managerial and analytical skills, strategic thinking, time management and strong human resource management skills through engagement.

DUTIES:

• Organize works of company’s accounting division, performing such functions as:
  • accounting of business operations and assets of the company in accordance with IFRS and national standards, the accounting policy of the parent company;
    • maintaining tax records and successful completion of tax audits;
    • successful completion of an external audit of financial statements;
    • processing payments to suppliers, wage payments;
    • closing of the period in accordance with the Group's regulations;
    • submission of reports to shareholders, reporting depository, the National Bank, statistical authorities, etc.;
    • archiving of original supporting documents;
    • implementation and updating of accounting systems;
    • organization of stock counts;
    • establishment of controls over the safety of the company's assets;
    • detection of fraudulent transactions and fraud.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Audit/Finance/Accounting;
• Work experience of 5 years or more in Accounting/Finance/Audit, and at least 3 years in managerial positions in aviation;
• Availability of a certificate of a professional accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan is mandatory, additional certificates and diplomas are also welcome (CAP / CIPA / ACCA / DipIFR exams;
• Upper-Intermediate level and above of English;
• Effective communication with subordinates, successful interaction with external and internal clients;
• Desire to lead changes in own department and collaborate with stakeholders;
• Leadership qualities, responsibility, focus on high standards, purposefulness, sociability, goodwill, punctuality, diligence.
