Good computer literacy (MS Excel Advanced User) and ability to learn new systems

Higher education: Bachelor Degree 

English: Upper-intermediate 

Main job functions: 

To make monthly rosters for Airline crew (including en route training) that complies with the legal FTL scheme and the policies of the Crew Planning Manual.              

To plan and publish ownership of the rosters for a group of crew, as delegated by the crew planning manager (specified by particular positions/bases//fleets).

To check that crew routes are built correctly and will be assigned to the crew ensuring correct coverage of the relevant flights. Crew routes must be built in accordance with the FTL scheme and policies of the crew planning manual.

To track changes in the flying program and make changes to the crew routes as necessary to keep them up-to-date prior to roster publication. To use the search functionalities and reports available in the system to ensure this is the case.

To issue monthly rosters for those crew each month on-time, ensuring compliance with both the approved FTL scheme and policies of the crew planning manual. Utilize the system to produce reports showing compliance with the FTL rules for approval by the crew planning manger prior to publication.

To be sure those standby duties are assigned in accordance with the agreed standby plan.

To be sure that the rosters are as fair as possible from the crew perspective, as per the criteria for fairness agreed by the Crew Planning Manager with the relevant crew management.

To use the automatic assignment functionality of the system in so far as possible, in order to achieve the best results.

To inform the crew planning manager at the earliest possible stage if it is apparent that there are potential issues in achieving full flight and standby coverage, i.e. use the automatic assignment functionality to create preliminary roster scenarios for the next month once one month is published and again as soon as the deadline for changes has passed.

To get information from the fleet training managers or cabin crew department to ensure the correct planning of all required en route training for local crew (flight or cabin).

To care about the expiry data stored in the system to ensure the correct planning of all en route training required for expat flight crew.

To help to assistance to the crew control team in managing changes affecting en route training on the live roster.

To follow the agreed procedures to ensure that passenger seats are booked as required for crew positioning on Airline flights for the next month.

To control changing the leave days for crew on monthly basis for unpublished crew roster.

To make suggestions to the crew planning manager about changes to processes or system functionality to improve roster quality or efficiency.
