RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct an effective safety management system (SMS) for Air Astana operations on behalf of Accountable Manager, including:
  • Lead the Safety Compliance department;
  • Advise on, formulate and enact safety & compliance policies;
  • Direct the identification and analysis of hazard programmes;
  • Improve effectiveness of risk controls;
  • Influence a positive safety culture;
  • Oversee airline certified approvals related to safety a& compliance;
  • Maintain effective liaison on safety and compliance issues with operational relevant external entities including the Authorities and OEM’s;

*Note: The SMS programme encompasses Flight Operations, Maintenance/Airworthiness, Cabin Services, Ground & Cargo Operations and Aviation Security

REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree in study-field associated with the position;
• Aviation Safety or Compliance monitoring manager/post holder experience;
• Excellent understanding of ICAO standards & recommended practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in leading large safety team;
• At least 10 years’ experience in managing an SMS programme in aviation with a good understanding of regulatory environment, Human Factors, incident investigation and compliance monitoring;
• Comprehensive knowledge of EASA regulations;
• Current or previous holder of Airline Transport Pilot or Maintenance Engineer License.
