RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handling ground safety reports and monitoring actions taken by GRO OPS
• Analyzing hazards related to GRO OPS via safety reports handling
• Participating in investigations of events and incidents related to GRO OPS and monitoring recommendations implementation
• Assessing, monitoring and analyzing hazards identified during events and incidents investigations related to GRO OPS
• Monitoring of change management related to GRO OPS
• Analyzing statistics data of ground safety events to identify potential hazards
• Participating in implementation of SMS in Ground Operations within Air Astana
• Monitoring of Ground Services standards and procedures compliance through risk analysis, audits (internal and external), and investigation recommendations implementation to identify potential hazards related to GRO OPS
• Participating in Safety Compliance Ground Operations audit plan preparation
• Conducting planned and ad-hoc audit reports in IQSMS and monitor corrective actions implementation
• Preparing recommendations as per corrective actions implementation in case findings are overdue
• Communicating with Civil Aviation Committee, AAK and other agencies and bodies, and with various handling agencies within his/her competence
• Controlling Local Station Surveillance System (LSSS) at Air Astana destinations
• Participating in meetings such as Safety Action Group GRO OPS and GS Meeting, replace Manager SC GO if necessary during such meetings
• Supporting to Manager SC GO in coaching of new SC GO staff as auditors and investigators
• Performing additional tasks assigned by the direct manager
• Participating in unauthorized substances program.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Higher
• Specialization: Aviation
• Preferably not less than 5 years in Ground Operations, experience in ramp handling /load control passenger handling is highly desirable, de-icing experience is an advantage. Experience of deputizing of GS Station Managers is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of Ground Operations and knowledge in flight safety is preferred
• Solid knowledge of English, Kazakh language knowledge is an advantage

• Organizational skills and good time management.
